Duluth crews respond to car fire following crash

DULUTH, MN-- On Friday just after 10:30 P.M. Duluth Police and Fire responded to the intersection of W Superior St. and Piedmont Ave. for a car that was on fire following a crash.

According to Duluth Police, the driver, who was impaired, crashed into a pole while traveling through the intersection.

The car then burst into flames following the crash.

Duluth Fire was able to extinguish the flames on scene.

The driver was uninjured and got out of the car before it then started on fire.

The driver was charged with a DWI.

No injures were reported with this incident.
