STRONG STORMS: Tracking a few rounds of thunderstorms this weekend.

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

TONIGHT:

The first round of strong storms will move through Friday evening. They will march west to east between the hours of 6 pm Friday, and 4 am Saturday. Timing for the Twin Ports will be between 10 pm and 2 am. My biggest concern with these storms is going to be straight-line winds. Damaging rain and hail is a possibility, and I can't rule out an isolated tornado.

SATURDAY:

The first half of the day will be relatively quiet. It will be hot and muggy. Temps will get into the low to mid 80s. In the afternoon a weak cold front will pass through, and bring another round of thunderstorms. These storms could be severe as well.

SUNDAY:

Sunday will be another stormy day. Right now it looks like there could be a round of storms in the morning, and another round in the afternoon. There is more uncertainty with the morning storms, because some forecasting models are pushing it south of us, and others are giving us a direct hit. The afternoon round of storms is along another cold front that will dry us out for Monday. Temps on Sunday will be in the upper 70s. It will be muggy and mostly cloudy.

EXTENDED FORECAST:

After a very busy weekend, all next week looks calm and pleasant. Highs around 80° each day, with low humidity, and tons of sun.
