Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is calling a third special session.
The democrat made that announcement Friday.
Lawmakers will gather at the capitol again on August 12th.
At the top of the list of tasks will be taking up the governor's peacetime emergency powers, used to navigate the pandemic.
Lawmakers could vote to extend or end them. They have been extended twice before this.
Senate Republicans have voted to end them. House democrats have not.
It is unclear how long the special session will last, or if lawmakers will take up any other legislation, like the $1 billion bonding bill.
