LAKE ELMO, Minn. -- In April, Scott Perunovich learned that he won the 2020 Hobey Baker Memorial Award via a late night Sportscenter segment.

The COVID-19 pandemic had cut the college hockey season short, cancelling the original Hobey Baker banquet at the Frozen Four.

Now four months later, Perunovich finally received the official recognition he deserved. The Hobey Baker Award Committee held an awards banquet and golf scramble at the Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, MN to honor Perunovich and the other finalists.

“Really exciting that the day is finally here. The Hobey Baker committee has done a great job of putting this whole thing together and making the best of a not-great situation so I’m definitely looking forward to today," said Perunovich.

" This is definitely a dream of mine… a lot of credit goes to a lot of people that got me here so. Just super thankful for everyone I’ve crossed paths with that have helped me get to where I am.”
