Warming towards weekend, showers and t-storms becoming more likely Saturday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

TODAY: A ridge continues to sit in our region, but a shortwave trough to our south will bring partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Temperatures will be warmer, sitting in the mid to upper 70's throughout much of the region. Some scattered showers and t-storms are possible to our south. Clouds will build from the south to the north overnight. Lows will be in the 50's throughout much of the region, except for some cooler lows in northern MN.

THURSDAY: A shortwave trough brings mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid to upper 70's. We'll see a slight chance for scattered showers and t-storms. Mostly cloudy skies persist through the overnight with lows near 60°F.

FRIDAY: Temperatures and dew points continue to warm up. We'll see highs in the upper 70's and lower 80's with mostly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of scattered showers and t-storms. Lows will be in the mid 60's.

SATURDAY: Models are in better agreement about our chance for showers and t-storms on Saturday. We'll see a cold front sweep through our region, which will bring a 40% chance of showers and t-storms. Highs will be in the lower 80's with dew points in the upper 60's, so it'll feel pretty muggy outside. Lows will be in the lower 60's.

SUNDAY: Models still don't agree on the chance for showers and t-storms on Sunday. For now, I'm sticking with a 30% chance with partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the lower 80's with dew points in the upper 60's.

NEXT WEEK: Above average temperatures and higher dew points continue into the first part of the week. We'll see a couple chances for some showers and t-storms as well.

Have a great day!
