TODAY: High pressure at the surface continues to battle a broad upper level trough. We'll see partly cloudy skies with a slight chance for some scattered showers. Highs will once again feel fall-like. Skies become mostly clear overnight with lows reaching the 40's throughout many portions of the region.
WEDNESDAY: A surface shortwave trough makes its way through the southern half of our region. We'll see a 20% chance of t-storms in Duluth, but further south will see a better chance for t-storms. Highs will be in the mid 70's with partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50's.
THURSDAY: Our shortwave trough progresses, which will bring a 20% chance of scattered showers. We'll see partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 70's. Lows will be in the upper 50's.
FRIDAY: We'll see a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs near 80°F. Lows will be in the mid 60's.
WEEKEND: Long range models bring a chance of showers and t-storms to our region this weekend. They don't agree on timing or intensity of atmospheric features, so I'm keeping our chance for showers and t-storms at 30% for Saturday and Sunday. We'll continue to update this forecast as we get closer. High temperatures look to be warmer, reaching the lower 80's for most areas.
Have a great day!
