MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced in a press release sent Monday evening that it will delay or cancel all fall sports.
Football, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s cross
country are to be canceled for the 2020-21 academic year, the release said. Women’s tennis and women’s golf will have their seasons delayed until the 2020-2021 spring term.
The schools will be able to hold practices for the sports throughout the academic year under limitations set by the NCAA.
The press release said decisions on winter sports will be made "at a later date."
WIAC includes many University of Wisconsin campuses, including Stout, Eau Claire, River Falls, and Stevens Point.
