CLOQUET, MN-- For the first portion of the golf season, there were some doubts whether the Cloquet Invitational would be held this year.

But after guidelines were released, the invitational was able to hold it's 89th annual golf outing at the Cloquet Country Club this weekend.

Just over 100 senior championship players and 96 flight players took part in the event.

Some of which are past champions which include Alex Kolquist, Trent Sundbom, and Jamie Langenbrunner.

Golf pro general manager Bill Manahan says he was ecstatic that the tournament was able to happen. But, safety was his number one priority.

"Let people come in, do everything we can on our part of it, let them have a good time for a couple days and then head home safely. So our goal really was just to keep the tradition going but also keep everyone in good health moving forward as well," said Manahan.
