Severe threat for Wednesday

AFTERNOON/TONIGHT: This afternoon we will continue to see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the mid to lower 80’s with calm winds. Tonight we will continue to see clear skies in the Ports with lows in the mid-60’s.

A line of thunderstorms will move into Central-Minnesota early Wednesday morning. These storms could be severe with damaging winds and maybe some large hail as the main concerns.

WEDNESDAY: Wednesday morning there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms through about 10am, then a break in the action till about 1pm. After 1pm we will see our chances of showers and thunderstorms increasing. More severe storms will be possible through the afternoon and even into the evening hours. By 2am we will become quiet again.

Main threats will be damaging winds (over 60mph) and large hail over an inch. There is also a 2% chance of an isolated tornado. Please remain vigilant on Wednesday and check back here for updates!

THURSDAY: Thursday we will see a 30% chance of some lingering showers and maybe some isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid-80’s with winds out of the southwest 5-10mph and partly sunny to partly cloudy skies.  

FRIDAY: Friday we will become mostly sunny as high pressure rolls back in. Highs will be in the lower 80’s.
