DULUTH, MN-- Grandma’s Marathon has formulated a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for the Park Point 5-Miler/2-Mile Walk.

This is so participants can proceed as safe as possible, and they are able to choose from multiple time slots to run/walk the event.

The chip timed, in-person Park Point 5-Miler/2-Mile Walk will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Throughout the day there will be (3) three-hour time blocks.

The Sunrise block is 6-9 a.m., the Midday block from 11-2 p.m., and the Twilight block from 4-7 p.m.

Each block will include 10 waves of up to 25 people socially distanced at 6 feet apart, and participants will be able to select their wave during the registration process.

Waves are assigned on a first come, first served basis, and registration for each wave will close once the 25 person per wave capacity is met.

A virtual option is also available, if you choose to go this route, participants can complete their race at any time and location between July 13 and 17.

Registration information is available here.
