The high pressure system moves just northeast of Lake Superior and we continue with the eastern flow and cooler lakeside temps Saturday. Highs reach the low 60s on the hill and by the lake expect low 50s. The Iron Range will be in the mid to upper 60s, as will Hayward.

Southern flow takes hold Sunday as the high pressure system treks east. There’s a large ridge in the jet stream which keeps us sunny and dry. The southern flow helps warm us up a bit too. Lows are in the low 40s and highs reach the upper 60s.

Warm air continues to stream into the region Monday. This brings more clouds making skies mostly cloudy. Morning lows are near 50 and highs reach 74. There’s a 20% chance of showers and storms too.

A weak disturbance in the upper levels and a lot of warm air pushing into the region brings a 30% chance of showers and storms for Tuesday morning. Morning temps are in the upper 50s and highs reach the upper 70s.

There’s a 40% chance of showers and storms on Wednesday. Models are not in agreement for this upper level trough, so confidence is not so high. Morning lows are in the low 60s and highs reach the low 80s.
