We’ve got a 20% chance of some showers and thunder late tonight into the early morning hours as a weak cold front slowly moves south. Low temps are in the mid 40s, with some locations like I. Falls getting into the upper 30s. Expect mid to upper 40s around Hayward, Hinckley, and Siren. Winds are out of the northeast at 4-8mph.
High pressure sits to the north and we have an east wind as the air travels around the high in a clockwise fashion. This will keep temps in the 50s for lakeside locations, but on the hill expect low 60s and further away from the lake mid to upper 60s.
The high pressure system moves just north of Lake Superior and we continue with the eastern flow and cooler lakeside temps. Morning lows are in the low 40s and highs reach the low 60s.
High pressure swings east Sunday and a low pressure nears from the west in western South Dakota. This provides a southern flow that will warm us up. Lows are in the mid 40s and highs make it into the upper 60s. Skies are partly cloudy.
Warm air continues to move in from the south Monday. Morning lows are near 50 and highs reach the low 70s. There’s a 20% chance of some showers and thunder in the morning as a warm front arrives from the south.
The low pushes north on Tuesday and we warm up further as warm air moves in from the south. There’s a 40% chance of showers and storms as the low and warm front push through. Morning lows are in the upper 50s and highs reach the upper 70s.
