Virginia, MN-- COVID-19 has made a large impact on small businesses, especially those on the Iron Range so Barber Graphics is doing something about it.
A design company who was forced to close its doors in March due to state restrictions, is helping others by starting a t-shirt fundraiser.
Owner, Mayme Barber said, "I was talking with Betsy Alamante from Small Business Development Center, she had heard of some fundraiser like that and asked if I would consider doing this for the range, I said absolutely."
The t-shirts are selling at $20 apiece, half of the money from each purchase will go towards a small Iron Range business of the buyers choice.
So far orders have raised $1,500 for 47 businesses throughout the Iron Range.
When it comes to picking one of the small businesses to help, "their favorite business of their choice" is what Barber is telling those who are considering to donate.
Meanwhile, Barber adds the businesses don't know they were picked for the fundraiser and she hopes the surprise will offer a bit of joy.
"Whenever there is a need we're always reaching out with food, fundraisers, benefits, donations being there," said Barber. "I just think this is no different. We just had to be a little more creative in how we could help this time around."
Orders can either be mailed through USPS or every Friday Barber is offering curbside pick-ups.
