DULUTH, MN. -- Three kids from Wright launched a GoFundMe campaign last week to provide food for first responders and healthcare workers.
Thursday, the Chiefs of the Duluth Police and Fire Departments dove into Lake Superior to support the cause.
This comes after Brea, Dawson, and Bryce Parrott took a jump in their own backyard lake, after hitting each $1,000 mark in their fundraising goal.
After exceeding their goal of $5,000 raised, Police chief Mike Tusken and fire chief Sean Krizaj decided to jump in the water as a show of support for the kids' hard work.
Though the water was cold, they were happy to participate.
"It was really, really nice to see people come together to support this important cause of really propping up the people who do that important work every day on the front lines during this pandemic," said Tusken.
