DULUTH, MN- Duluth's Enger Golf Course opened its driving range Thursday, but not without some serious precautions in the wake of covid-19.
Signs throughout the course were placed to encourage golfers to maintain social distancing.
Bill Colgan, a regional manager for Billy Casper Golf, the company that manages Enger, says they have a new policy which encourages players to only touch their own equipment.
They want golfers to know about some other changes too.
"Eliminating touch points, closing off certain areas of the clubhouse to just socilizations of food and beverages and areas that have shut down. Just think of never being within six feet of someone," Colgan said.
Colgan says Enger has eliminated rakes, ball washers, benches, and seating areas.
Enger will open its full golf course on Friday.
Duluth's Lester Park Golf Course will not open in 2020 due to financial reasons.
