John Cardinale joined KBJR 6 as a weekend news anchor and reporter in June of 2019.
John is from Napa California, he grew up watching his favorite local news station where he realized that was his calling.
In high-school journalism was something he was passionate about because news can create a positive impact in local communities by keeping people informed.
John attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State. During his time at the Cronkite School, John worked for the award-winning student-run news show Cronkite News on Arizona PBS. With Cronkite news, he served as an anchor and a reporter. John served as a borderlands reporter making trips to the U.S. Mexico border to cover border issues. This was an eye-opening experience that he is grateful to have been apart of. He graduated from the Walter Cronkite School in May of 2019.
John is also an avid baseball fan and played on the Arizona State Club baseball team as a pitcher.
He is excited about his career here in the Northland and hopes he can create a positive impact on the community through his news anchoring and reporting.
In his free time, he enjoys collecting baseball memorabilia, playing with professional-grade yo-yo's, and spending time with his family and friends.
