Rain and some thunder tonight/Tuesday morning.

A warm front will move north into our region tonight. This will bring an 80% chance of some rain and even some thunder cannot be ruled out too. Around 0.2” to 0.6” is possible with this front. Winds are out of the ESE at 5-10mph and temperatures are in the mid to upper 30s for lakeside locations and I. Falls/Ely areas. Away from the lake and further south expect lows in the low to mid 40s.

In the morning hours expect rain showers and a few claps of thunder. Chance of rain is 80% in the morning and diminishes significantly by the afternoon. We might even see a little sunshine by the afternoon hours as our temperatures rise to the mid 50s on the hill and upper 40s by the lake. Expect mid 50s around the Iron Range and upper 50s around Hayward.

A cold front pushes in on Wednesday. This cools our temps down and brings a 20% chance of some scattered showers. Lows are in the mid 30s and highs reach the mid 40s. Skies will be mostly cloudy and winds will be breezy out of the northwest.

Cooler air filters in on Thursday. Morning lows reach the mid 20s and highs are in the upper 30s. Expect partly cloudy skies. Friday we cool down to 23 in the morning and highs reach the low 40s with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies as high pressure sits to our south.

There’s a low to our north on Saturday. Right now it looks to miss us, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it brought a few showers. Morning lows are in the upper 20s and highs reach the mid 40s.
