Burrito Union turns to community to help feed children

DULUTH, MN -- A local restaurant in Duluth is helping in 'Feed the Kids'.

Burrito Union created a GoFundMe page where they are matching the donations 50/50 to give out free lunches to children.

Rod Raymond, Owner of Burrito Union says, a lot of families in the Duluth area rely on schools to provide the daily lunches for kids. Raymond wanted to help out in the best way he could.

Raymond also says he started this the day schools closed and has seen such a positive response from the community.

"As long as we can keep the funds coming, we'll keep it going. Obviously, I can't go too deep in debt on this thing because I still have to pay for my deserving staff and keep my operation running, so we're going to find that sweet balance and give as much as we can for the community," stated Raymond.

They have been serving roughly 120 to 150 lunches every day.
