DULUTH, MN-- The owners of Boomtown Woodfire Bar and Grill have announced they will be delaying the opening of their new Duluth location because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Co-owners Erik and Jessica Lietz announced in the summer of 2019 their plans to open the restaurant at the previous location of the Sunset Bar in Duluth this spring.

Jessica Lietz said she doesn't know how long the opening will be delayed. She hopes the current Boomtown Iron Range locations will be back open in May, and then they can start interviewing for Duluth soon afterward.

The Lietz’s own Boomtown Woodfire Bar and Grill in Eveleth and Hibbing, as well as The Whistling Bird in Gilbert.
