SUPERIOR, WI -- A group known as Border Town Betties, is trying to help both healthcare workers and local restaurants during this coronavirus pandemic.
Border Town Betties is an online fundraising group out of Superior.
Now that people need help more than ever, they are asking for donations to support what they are calling the "Healthcare Workers Meal Fund".
This fund will help feed healthcare workers' food from local restaurants during their lunch breaks.
CEO of Border Town Betties, Caroline Routly says they are doing what they can to help those who need it most.
"What we're doing is putting out online content, trying to reach a lot of people. We're raising money for meals for healthcare workers, and in doing that we are hoping to help local restaurants that have had to close their dining rooms, and help healthcare workers feel supported," Said Routley.
She added that the easiest way to donate would be to go to the Border Town Betties Facebook page, send the group a message, specify how much you would like to donate, and they will help with the rest.
