Grandma’s Marathon officials “monitoring” Coronavirus situation in Minnesota

Grandma's Marathon officials are monitoring the Coronavirus situation as it relates to the race later this summer.

Each year, the event draws tens of thousands of visitors from the area, many of whom are from around the world.

Mandi Peterson, the Marketing and Public Relations Director for the event, says the Minnesota Department of Health is not recommending the cancellation of mass events in the state.

She added they are keeping a close eye on the situation, and right now, planning to move forward with the race weekend in June.
