DULUTH, MN -- Hundreds of kids and adults hit ski trails across Duluth all day Saturday, as part of the 15th annual Tour Duluth Ski Fest.
The festival is hosted by the Duluth Cross Country Ski Club.
It encourages skiers of all ages and skill levels to visit their favorite trails and explore new ones.
The fun kicked off early Saturday morning, with a Kids Carnival at Lester-Amity Chalet.
There were snacks, games, and a big campfire for s'mores.
Organizers say Ski Fest is a way to unite families in the community,
and celebrate the season as it comes to an end.
"With our long winters here, if you don't have an activity like skiing, the winter can be hard. It's a great lifelong sport, and you can go at the pace that's right for you, and it's good that parents and children can do it together," said DXC board member, Stacey Jutila,
Saturday's event wrapped up over at the Marshall School with a dinner, bonfire and sledding.
The Duluth Cross Country Ski Club says this is their biggest event every year.
