DULUTH, Minn. -- Duluth FC officially introduced their new coaching staff and U23 Academy Team at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Sean Morgan, a former Bluegreen himself will be the club's new head coach. Morgan also played at St. Scholastica.
"Having played for three or four years with Duluth, I have a really good feeling for the club, and the goals and aims for the future," said Morgan.
"Hopefully with myself, and the team we've put together, we won't be short of success this year, and I'm really looking forward to getting started."
It will also be the inaugural season for their new Academy team affiliate, which will be lead by Anthony Wood.
"Hopefully we can get a lot of interest from our local talent here in Duluth, and the local suburbs as well. Hopefully, we can create and environment where we've got 25 guys that want to come in and compete, and hopefully one day make our first team," said Wood.
Opening day for Duluth FC is on May 9th, when they travel south to take on Milwaukee Torrent. Their home opener is scheduled for May 16th at Duluth East High School.
