UMD men and women’s basketball teams advance in NSIC playoffs

DULUTH, Minn. -- The University of Minnesota Duluth basketball teams advanced out of the first round of the NSIC Tournament.

The men's team defeated Concordia-St. Paul 92-87 in double overtime. Brandon Myer finished with 35 points. The Bulldogs advance to take on Winona State.

The margin wasn't quite as close in the women's games, as the Bulldogs routed Upper Iowa 81-54. Brooke Olson lead the way for UMD with 33 points.
