DULUTH,MN-- The historic NorShor Theatre in downtown Duluth hosted it's Classic Film Series tonight with a showing of "It Happened One Night."

The film series is in its second season and gives Twin Ports audiences the chance to see classic films in a classic setting.

On average anywhere from 130 to 350 people show up to watch the classic films.

Discussion groups take place after the showings where people can share their thoughts and interpret the films.

Justin Peck, an organizer, says the experience beats watching a movie at home.

"What is awesome is to watch the classics in this art-deco movie palace, on a giant screen with a bunch of people. It's a way we can watch the films together.. normally you maybe get to watch on television or at home. But here with a giant screen with a crowd full of people it's a magical event," Peck said.

The next showing will be on March 8, 2020.

The movie being shown will be Sunset Boulevard.
