Candidates door knock ahead of Wisconsin primaries

SUPERIOR, WI. -- We are just two days away from several primaries for the city of Superior including two Superior City Council District races in District 1 and 5.

And Sunday, Josh Johnson and Brent Fennessey in the District 5 race were out door knocking around Superior talking to the public one final time before the big vote that happens on Tuesday.

While they were out door knocking, one voter we heard from says having the candidates going door-to-door goes a long way.

"When I see the candidate on my door step, like actually shaking my hand, and learning about the things that I care about, talking about my issues and concerns with city council, and just really getting out into the community, that's super important to me. It becomes real to me like when the candidate is actually on your door step", said Veronica Hartung, Superior resident.

The Wisconsin Spring Primary Election polls will be open from 7 am until 8 pm on Tuesday.
