Snowmobilers fall off a 30-foot cliff in St. Louis County

ORR, MN-- Two people are injured after falling nearly 30 feet off a rock cliff on their snowmobiles in St. Louis County.

The incident happened on February 14 around 10:45 p.m. 15 miles north of Orr, MN.

A 69-year-old man and 52-year-old woman were traveling with a group of 8 snowmobilers in a ditch along Highway 53.

The man and the woman both fell off a 30-foot rock cliff and landed at the bottom of a ravine.

First responders used rescue toboggans, ropes, and an ATV to rescue the two.

Both were transported by Orr ambulance to the Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth with non-life threatening injuries.
