Snow showers will continue to fall for the South Shore and U.P. into our Saturday afternoon. Our large low sits in Northern Michigan on the west coast of Lake Huron. This brings a northwest wind at 4-8mph which brings some lake enhanced snow showers for Ashland, Hayward, and Ironwood (60% chance). An additional 1-3” can be expected there with higher totals to the east. Around Duluth and points up the North Shore, expect a 20% chance of some morning flurries then cloudy skies throughout the day. From Aitkin to International Falls expect mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures are in the low to mid 30s, with I. Falls and Ely seeing near 30.
Snow showers linger for areas east of Ashland on Sunday. Expect mostly cloudy skies, some breaks in the clouds as a weak upper level high pressure system creeps over the area. It’s doing its best to clear us out, but it’s just not strong enough. Morning lows are in the low 20s and highs reach the low 30s.

A short wave pushes closer to the area, it keeps us under clouds and brings a 20% chance of some snow showers. Morning lows are around 20 and highs reach 27. An upper level low swings over Wednesday and increases our chances of snow to 30%. Expect continued cloudiness and lows in the upper teens and highs reaching the upper 20s.
