DULUTH, Minn. -- The UMD women's hockey team remains unbeaten through four games in 2020.

Most recently, the Bulldogs dominated Bemidji State with a weekend sweep, in which they only allowed two goals.

"I think those are some of our best games that we've had all year. They weren't perfect at all but I think that we just battled and we wanted it," said senior forward Sydney Brodt.

"I think we do have a different feel this semester. I think we're really confident right now so it's gonna be a fun weekend coming up here."

Senior goaltender Maddie Rooney became the program's all-time leading saves leader during Friday's win over the Beavers with 2,999.

"2020 has been good to us so far. That's a good Bemidji team, they're going to test you in all areas of the ice. To have those three wins in a row is a statement and that's what we're looking for from our group," said head coach Maura Crowell.

Rooney, Ashton Bell, and Gabbie Hughes were all named WCHA Players of the Week.

UMD has now pulled even with Bemidji State in the WCHA Standings, in fourth place. For the full standings, click here.
