DULUTH, Minn. -- After gaining a point in the NCHC standings against Western Michigan, the University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team is turning the page to their next series.

The Bulldogs will travel south to take on a struggling St. Cloud State team at Herb Brooks Arena on Friday and Saturday night.

They'll look to build on their momentum from last Saturday's game against the Broncos, where they scored two unanswered goals to force overtime, and earn an extra conference point.

"One, goal tending was awesome from our end, secondly I think we played a good 200 foot game where we got some goal scoring and we didn't give up the lead and we didn't even let a goal go in and the special teams game, scoring a power play goal and not giving up any on the kill," said head coach Scott Sandelin.

"I think it's a huge weekend, a huge opportunity for us to make some strides and make a statement for what kind of run we want to make here in 2020."

Puck drop between the Bulldogs and the Huskies is at 7:37p.m. on Friday night.
