GRAND MARAIS, MN, -- Cook County Commissioners have voted to accept refugees within county lines.
The unanimous vote happened Tuesday morning.
It stems from an executive order President Donald Trump issued back in September.
It says counties and states are now required to provide written consent stating their willingness to accept refugees for resettlement.
The matter also went before St. Louis County's board last week.
They voted to table it until May.
Meanwhile, last week, Beltrami county became one of a handful of counties in the country to refuse refugee resettlement.
