DULUTH,MN-- There's a lot on the line this weekend for Vikings and Packer fans.
For the first time since 1997, both teams made it to the NFL's divisional playoff round.
The Vikings play Saturday; the Packers Sunday.
That means bars and restaurants all over the northland are getting ready for large crowds.
Mily Hanson the assistant manager at Tavern on the Hill says, "We're anticipating a huge crowd coming in, we're really excited. Our staff is excited.
Who's Bar and Grill manager Theresa Glenn says they're prepared no matter what.
She says, "We always try to be really ready for big games. Tomorrow's going to be really exciting."
With the Vikings and Packer's both playing this weekend's NFL playoff game, local bars are gearing up for the crowds.
Hanson says being next to UMD they expect Saturday to be comparable to a busy college football game day."We're always prepared, that's something we're always really proud of."
They are anticipating their bar area to be the busiest with families also in the dining room.
They already have reservations made, some as big as 40 guests.
Over in Superior Who's Bar and Grill says they're not sure what to expect but they'll see all the football fans at the bar.
Glenn says, "It varies, but usually when the Packers are on TV we have a good crowd with football and food. And even some Viking fans. "
And if you've had too much to drink both bars have a plan to help you get home safely.
Hanson says, "We always have yellow cabs on standby, there always in the area a little bit. Our bartenders and staff are always willing to call you a cab."
Glenn says, "We always encourage cab rides, DD's. Of course, there are Uber, there are so many extra people you can call. We always encourage taking keys and other rides home."
