UPDATE: 2 injured in Duluth shooting

DULUTH, MN -- Duluth Police say two people are being treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries following a shooting in the city's Central Hillside Monday afternoon.

According to police, officers were called to the 100 Block of E. Harbor Highlands Drive at 2:49 p.m.

When they arrived, police say they found evidence of a shooting outside, and found two people with gunshot wounds in the area.

Police say this is still an active investigation.

Police say a heavy law enforcement presence at Duluth's upper Central Hillside is due to a reported shooting on the 100 block of Harbor Highlands Drive.

Police were called to the scene around 2:50 p.m. Monday, and are still on the scene as of 3:30 p.m.

Officials say this is an open and active investigation, and more information will be provided when it becomes available.


A heavy law enforcement presence is currently responding to the Harbor Highlands area in Duluth's Central Hillside neighborhood.

A KBJR 6 photographer on scene says an ambulance is on scene.

Our photographer also says the entrances to the area from Central Entrance, as well as West 10th Street and N. Lake Avenue, are currently blocked off.

At this time, details regarding the heavy police presence are limited.
