AITKIN COUNTY, MN -- A Tamarack man is facing a dozen charges, 11 of them criminal sexual conduct felonies, following an investigation by the Aitkin County Health and Human Services department, as well as the Sheriff's Office.
County officials say Bryant McConnell, 35, was arrested Tuesday and made his first appearance Friday.
He is charged with one count of felony domestic assault by strangulation, as well as 11 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct, including the following:
- Four first degree felony charges
- Four-second degree felony charges
- One third-degree felony charge
- One fourth-degree felony charge
- One-fifth degree gross misdemeanor charge
A judge ordered bail to be set at $200,000 with unconditional terms of release, $50,000 bond with conditions, or $5,000 cash with conditions.
An omnibus hearing has been scheduled for late January.
No word on what triggered the investigation.
