Authorities search for Beltrami Co. convenience store robbery suspect

BEMIDJI, MN -- Your help is needed finding a Beltrami County robbery suspect.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the Lakes Market convenience store on Irvine Avenue in Turtle Lake Township just before 9:30 p.m. Monday.

When authorities arrived, they learned two suspects allegedly left the store with an unknown amount of cash, as well as store merchandise in a vehicle.

That vehicle was later found in a ditch several miles from the scene, and deputies discovered it was stolen from Bemidji.

During the investigation, authorities found a second stolen vehicle, a gun, and evidence which led to the arrest of one of the robbery suspects.

The second suspect, Carlito Kingbird, 19, of Bemidji, is still wanted.

If you know where Kingbird may be, you're asked to not approach him, and to call the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office at 218-333-9111, option 2.

The name of the second suspect isn't being released until formal charges have been filed.
