Stauber introduces legislation to lower insulin costs

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- An amendment has been introduced to Congress to lower the cost of insulin at pharmacy counters.

According to Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08), he introduced the amendment Tuesday to the House Rules Committee as a modification to the Lower Drug Costs Now Act.

Stauber's office says the amendment would require rebates to go directly to the consumers rather than Pharmacy Benefit Managers, and say the cost of insulin would be reduced by 75%.
