Latest snowstorm brings nearly a foot of snow, icy conditions

DULUTH, MN-- For the third time in the last two weeks, a snowstorm has slammed the Northland.

After most of the region was hit with more than a foot of snow about a week ago, most of the area received a substantial amount Sunday night and Monday.

Here are the National Weather Service's snowfall totals from around the area:

  • Bessemer: 11.5"
  • Ironwood: 11.3"
  • Poplar: 10.5"
  • Bayfield: 9.5"
  • 4 miles ENE of Cornucopia: 9.3"
  • 11 miles E of Solon Springs: 9.0"
  • Upson: 9.0"
  • Lake Nebagamon: 9.0"
  • Grand View: 8.3"
  • Cable: 8.0"
  • Washburn: 8.0"
  • Hayward: 7.0"
  • Cloquet: 7.0"
  • NWS Duluth: 6.7"
  • Embarrass: 6.0"
  • Ely: 5.0"
  • Two Harbors: 4.6"
