Cloquet Christmas tradition this weekend

CLOQUET,MN - The Santa's home for the Holidays celebration is going on at a few locations around town.

The event has been happening for the last 20 year but around 10 years ago it lost popularity.

Luckily Renee Birman teamed up with local businesses to revive the event.
Birman says it's means a lot to the community.

"It is very important to this community because it keeps us united. You see the same faces everywhere you go in Cloquet, and we have a slogan at Cloquet Ford. It's ok in Cloquet. And thats really true." She said.

This Celebration started on Wednesday and ends tomorrow.

A few of the events happening tomorrow include a pancake breakfast, a Parade, and of course fireworks.

Meteorologist Alex Libby

I have lived my entire life in Maine, just North of Portland in the town of Freeport. I studied Meteorology at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and minored in Mathematics. I have been interested in Meteorology since I was about 5 years old. I played hockey until college and I played baseball throughout my time at PSU. So far I have loved the Duluth area and I’m excited for lots of snow and -60 degree windchills.
