Bulldogs respond after tough weekend sweep against Minnesota State

DULUTH, Minn. -- The University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team suffered a rough weekend against Minnesota State (Mankato).

The Bulldogs scored just two goals in the two game sweep, their lowest total of the season against an opponent.

"Friday was like men among boys. After the last 40 minutes they were physically stronger, they won battles and races to pucks. I thought Saturday we were better," said Scott Sandelin.

"They're a heavy team, They're a veteran team. I'm not surprised, we knew they were going to be very good. And they were."

Up next, UMD heads to Nebraska-Omaha for a two game series. Both Friday and Saturday's games can be seen LIVE on the My9 Sports Network.
