DULUTH, MN — St. Louis County’s newest board member will officially be taking his seat Monday.
Keith Musolf was elected as District 5 Commissioner earlier this month after beating out Hermantown Mayor Wayne Boucher in a tight race by just 89 votes.
Musolf will be sworn in Monday morning and will participate in his first board meeting on September 3rd.
The former iron and trades worker is filling a seat that has been vacant since January, when former commissioner Pete Stauber was sworn in to U.S. Congress.
“That’s a large name to follow behind,” Musolf says. “I’ve chatted with him a few times over the past 6 months just on thoughts about the county. That’s a big name to follow and it’s pretty exciting, actually.”
