ST. PAUL, MN — The Great Minnesota Get Together is officially underway.
Gates opened at 6 a.m. Thursday with many fair-goers eager to get in, including Ginger Johnson from Apple Valley, who arrived at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night and was the first person in line.

Last year, the Minnesota State Fair had over 2 million people show, which was an all-time record.
The fair runs through Labor Day. Grounds are open from 6 a.m. to midnight.
