‘Invisible No More’ billboard arrives in Duluth
DULUTH, MN – A new campaign has arrived in Duluth bringing attention to missing and murdered indigenous women.
An ‘Invisible No More’ Billboard has been placed on Garfield Ave. in Duluth.
The city was a target area for this campaign because of its location on a port where trafficking can be prevalent, according to the executive director of the Great Plains Tribal Chairman’s Association.
According to a report on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, murder is the third leading cause of death among American Indian women.
The billboard campaign was a joint effort by several different organizations.
