Families Enjoy Zoo-La-Palooza 2019

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be at the Zoo after hours?

People got to find out this evening in Duluth.

It was a part of Lake Superior Zoo’s Zoo-La-Palooza.

It’s their biggest fundraiser of the year, giving visitors the opportunity to stay past normal operating hours and explore during a different time of day.

Organizers say the event is crucial to the zoo’s mission, and ensure it’s success.

“Our mission is to provide close-up animal experiences that inspire action towards conservation both here in our region and around the world. So accomplishing that by bringing people out to the zoo so that people can see endangered species like our tiger, Alana, really makes a difference,” said Marketing Director Haley Headstrom.

There was also food, drink and live music.
