TODAY/TONIGHT: Today we will have a 50% chance of some scattered showers and thunderstorms through the day. I think the best chance will be in the afternoon/evening for the Ports. There is a chance of some strong or severe storms with the higher chance from Grand Rapids, to Hibbing, and into the Arrowhead. That’s where the SPC has a “Slight Risk” of severe weather today. Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are not out of the question. Highs will be in the 70’s in the Ports due to an east wind, upper 70’s and lower 80’s inland.
Tonight we will see a chance of showers and thunderstorms through the evening hours, before clearing early tomorrow morning. Lows will be in the 60’s with some patchy fog possible.
THURSDAY: Thursday morning there will be a slight chance of some lingering rain, otherwise mostly cloudy and becoming partly sunny. Highs will be in the mid-80’s again with winds out of the WSW 5-10mph.
FRIDAY: Friday we will see partly cloudy to partly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80’s with westerly winds. There will be a slight chance of some pop-up thunderstorms into the afternoon.
WEEKEND: This weekend we will see on and off chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Right now its about a 30% chance for the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s, so it will be a bit cooler. Expect more clouds on Sunday.
