The Chancellor of Minnesota State visited Lake Superior College today.
He announced $7-million dollars in scholarships, and the opportunities that they will provide students in the future.
He mentions this scholarship program could help students who are eligible for other loans to go to college essentially tuition free.
The Chancellor said: “We are very excited about these additional scholarships because they will enable us to enhance access, provide resources to those who would like to come get some additional credentials for high paying jobs but just didn’t have the resources.”
Students will be able to apply for these workforce development scholarships beginning in August.
