DULUTH, MN — A group of area Moms are helping to brighten the lives of Northland veterans.
Blue Star Mothers is a group dedicated to sending gift packages to those deployed overseas.
This time, the group is doing things a little bit different – instead of sending the care packages overseas, they’re keeping it local.
MACK-V will receive the totes filled with toiletries, household supplies, and personal greeting cards.
“We want our service members to know that they are a part of this community and that they are very valuable to us. So we make sure they know they are remembered,” says Sara Lund, the President of the Blue Star Mothers chapter.
More than 20 volunteers helped out Monday, all of whom work for Maurices.
