UPDATE: 911 outage resolved for Cook County AT&T customers

UPDATE: GRAND MARAIS, MN — Authorities say 911 service is back for AT&T customers in Cook County after a brief outage Thursday afternoon.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office says AT&T is experiencing a network service outage which affects wireless 911 calls in the area.

Authorities say AT&T teams are currently working to isolate and resolve the issue.

The cause of the service outage hasn’t been determined.

Due to the outage, interruptions or degradation to wireless calls may be experienced.

The outage only affects cell phone users who are customers of AT&T, and does not affect landline calls on any carrier to 911.

Authorities say they will provide an update once more information is available, and the outage is resolved.
