Search for suspect continues after Pine County Shooting

PINE COUNTY, MN– Pine County authorities are still searching for a suspect Monday after a man was injured in a weekend shooting.

At 2:46 p.m. Saturday, Pine County deputies received a call from a man who said he had been shot in the shoulder and was driving toward Hinckley.

First responders met the victim, who was airlifted to a Duluth hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the the victim and the suspect know each other.

A witness apparently told authorities that the suspect and the victim had a physical altercation when the suspect walked back to his residence to get a gun.

According to the witness, as the victim was trying to leave in his vehicle, the suspect allegedly fired multiple shots.

Authorities were not able to locate the suspect at his property. As of Monday, their search continues.
