Community takes ‘Strides for Stroke’ in Duluth

DULUTH,MN– Community members gathered in Leif Erickson Park bright and early Saturday to honor stroke survivors.

Organizers say the Minnesota Stroke Association’s annual Strides for Stroke exemplifies the idea of an active stroke community.

Not only does the event honor stroke survivors the walk also raises stroke awareness and helps fund programs that benefit Minnesotans who live with the effects of stroke.

Michelle Bunge with event says, “We find it really important just to go out to communities and make sure that they’re aware of our organization and the free supports and programs that are out there, for not only the survivors but the caregivers as well.”

The 20-19 Strides for Stroke also held walks in Saint Cloud and the Twin Cities.
