Dozens gather in Canal Park for May Day Rally for Indigenous women

DULUTH, MN – A group of about 50 people gathered in Canal Park to raise awareness for missing, murdered and trafficked Indigenous women on Wednesday.

The annual May Day Rally began with an opening prayer, and included drumming and speakers.

Organizers say flowers were dropped in Lake Superior in remembrance of missing women.

The event was hosted by Idle No More and the Northwoods Wolf Alliance.
